John McDonald Company Receives Top Recognition By Gold Coast Builder’s Association

John McDonald Company once again is awarded for exceptional work at this year’s Gold Coast Builder’s Association PRISM Awards. This Jupiter and Jupiter Island custom home builder and remodeler received outstanding recognition for a total of four construction projects.

John McDonald Company was awarded the Gold PRISM for “Custom Home Architecture,” the highest honor for custom homes. This award winning home featured an open floor plan design. Uniquely it maintains a traditional exterior while creating a cleaner contemporary interior. “Market acceptance is tremendous as we repeatedly receive accolades from the community’s neighbors for the home’s curb appeal and expertly crafted details,” stated company president Dennis McDonald. John McDonald Company also took another Gold PRISM Award for a very innovative contemporary bath remodel. Both homes are in Loxahatchee Club located in Jupiter, Florida.

John McDonald Company also won two Silver PRISM Awards, one for a whole house remodel for a semi-retired couple who wanted to update their 1983 home’s interior. The other Silver PRISM Award was for industrial architecture for building a custom commercial airplane hangar in the residential fly-in community of Tailwinds, located west of Jupiter, Florida. Quickly becoming the envy of every other pilot in this airport community, the luxury hangar features RV storage, several tool rooms and wood paneled office along with a second story observation tower allowing runway viewing. A guesthouse and small residence compliment the hangar and are nestled amongst the existing landscape, which was carefully protected. This residential airplane hangar was built for a repeat customer from Jupiter’s Admiral’s Cove community.

The 2009 PRISM Awards were held this past weekend at the Marriott in West Palm Beach. John McDonald Company joined other area top luxury home builders for this event.
