Island Contemporary

Our mid-western couple was interested in a fusion of Caribbean island style with an Asian influence. Working with architect Mitch O’Neil, we interpreted this vision and constructed a home that reflects their tastes. The clean island style exudes casual elegance. The symmetry and simple detail is as fresh as the exterior design. I particularly like the monochromatic lattice detailing on the living room walls, contrasting with the dark pecky cypress beam ceilings. The extensive use of dark woodwork against white walls, both outside and in, reflects the Andersons’ sophisticated look. This home is as pleasurable as its owners.
